Svetchnikov declined a full scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to pursue behavioral psychology. From 2010, she cycled through positions as a counselor, health analyst and social worker before founding Longwood Care in 2016. Longwood provides mental health services to over 1,200 individuals every month.
